The Cotuit Kettleers (0-1) built an early edge on Thursday, but the Bourne Braves (1-0) roared back to steal a 12-7 victory at Lowell Park.

The Bourne Braves took the lead in the fifth inning on a two-run home run by Joe Jackson.

LJ Mazzilli racked up six RBIs on four hits for the Bourne Braves. He singled in the first inning, homered in the second inning, and doubled in the sixth and seventh innings.

John Farrell struck out seven hitters en route to the the Bourne Braves win. The Bourne Braves' pitcher gave up just three hits over four shutout innings.

Tony Kemp racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Cotuit Kettleers. He homered in the second inning and singled in the second inning.

Ryan Connolly (0-1) took the loss for the Cotuit Kettleers. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
