Monday was a great day for Daniel Eaton, as Eaton struck out nine batters to carry the Regina Red Sox (4-0) to a 13-1 victory over the Moose Jaw Miller Express (3-3) at Currie Field.
The Regina Red Sox blew out the Moose Jaw Miller Express thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Regina Red Sox scored four runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Mitch MacDonald, a two-run triple by Daniel Bick, and an RBI double by Jeremy Donaldson.
The Regina Red Sox were led by a flawless day at the dish by Randy Ramirez, who went 2-2 against the Moose Jaw Miller Express' pitching. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Conor Lillis-White couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Moose Jaw Miller Express, taking a loss. He allowed 11 runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out seven.
