The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (23-21) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 6-1 to the Pittsfield Suns (25-21) on Friday.

While the Marthas Vineyard Sharks led until the sixth inning, the Pittsfield Suns worked their way back and took the lead on a two-run double by Travis Smith.

Smith racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Pittsfield Suns. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the sixth innings.

Michael RoBards picked up the win for the Pittsfield Suns. RoBards pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, seven hits and no walks while striking out four.

Mike Bradstreet (6-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
