Four first-inning runs helped the Moose Jaw Miller Express (2-1) to a 5-2 win over the Melville Millionaires (1-2) at Ross Wells Park on Friday.

Logan Lippert had two extra-base hits for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Terry McNabb's eight strikeouts were enough to push the Moose Jaw Miller Express past the Melville Millionaires. McNabb allowed two earned runs, nine hits and one walk over eight innings.

Parker Thomas ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
