Jesse Grace pushed the Nevada Big Horns ahead, in the eighth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. Adam Anderson singled to start the eighth. He then went from first to third on a double by Oscar Gonzalez. Finally, Grace came to the plate with the score tied at 10, and doubled, bringing home Anderson.
Grace racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Nevada Big Horns. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Jake Riffice had two extra-base hits for the Sacramento Scorch. He doubled in the fourth inning, tripled in the fifth innings, and singled in the second and eighth innings.
Grace got his first win for the Nevada Big Horns despite allowing 10 runs over eight innings. He struck out nine, walked eight and surrendered 12 hits.
Scott Gray was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in two innings, walked four and struck out one.
