The SYR JR Chiefs cruise past the GEN Red Wings, 14-7

The GEN Red Wings (2-2) didn't stand a chance on Tuesday, as the SYR JR Chiefs (4-0) captured a blowout 14-7 win at McDonough Park.

The SYR JR Chiefs scored six runs in the second on a single by Corey Caswell, a double by Riley Moonan, an error, a two-run single by David Wolak, a solo home run by Zach Blanden, and an error.

Frank Salerno was hot from the plate for the SYR JR Chiefs. Salerno went 4-7, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second, third, sixth, and eighth innings.

Leon Stimpson did his best to jumpstart the offense for the GEN Red Wings, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Peter Doggett got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over three innings. Doggett struck out four, walked two and gave up one hit.

Jon Dunn ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked none and struck out one.
