The Kansas Cannons (3-1) took the last of five lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the North County Waves (1-2), securing a 6-5 victory on Saturday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The Kansas Cannons got their bats going early, scoring four runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the North County Waves.

Josh Halbert had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He doubled in the first, sixth, and eighth innings.

Ethan Ward recorded his first win of the year for the Kansas Cannons. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

JEFF NEPTUNE was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.

The Kansas Cannons were sparked by Halbert and Tory Stoffregen, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.
