The Dodge City A's (3-2) built an early edge on Saturday, but the St. Joseph Mustangs (4-1) roared back to steal a 2-1 victory at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The St. Joseph Mustangs took the lead in the ninth inning on an RBI single by Kris Koerper.

The St. Joseph Mustangs were led by Saulyer Saxon's hitting. Saxon went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the seventh and ninth innings.

Cody Cunningham's eight strikeouts were enough to push the St. Joseph Mustangs past the Dodge City A's. Cunningham allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks over eight innings.

Ben Wright couldn't get it done on the hill for the Dodge City A's, taking a loss. He lasted just eight innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
