Storm Marlar kept the Impact Sports (1-1) off the board during his six innings of work and the Newton Rebels (1-0) beat the Impact Sports, 7-6.

Marlar allowed three hits, two walks and struck out six.

A walk-off single by Tyler Faught gave the Newton Rebels the win.

Faught did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Newton Rebels, reaching base two times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the eleventh inning.

Romus Cezar had a hot bat for the Newton Rebels. Cezar went 3-6, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first, second, and fourth innings.

Josh Markel got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Markel struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Dalton Goings couldn't get it done on the bump for the Impact Sports, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
