The GEN Red Wings (2-0) and the Adirondack (0-2) each put runners in scoring position on Sunday, but the GEN Red Wings capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 6-5 win at McDonough Park.

The GEN Red Wings held off the Adirondack, as the Adirondack were unable to overcome a three-run third inning deficit.

The Adirondack scored on an error and an error in the fourth inning, a groundout by Kevin Hix in the sixth inning, and a wild pitch in the seventh inning. Despite their efforts, the Adirondack couldn't get over the hump.

Grant Heyman got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Even though Aaron Benusis allowed five runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Ian Tresser (0-1) took the loss for the Adirondack. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
