An impressive effort by Hyung Cho led the Brantford Red Sox (2-1) to a 15-5 win over the Burlington Twins (1-2) on Monday at Nelson Park.
Cho rocked the Burlington Twins with two home runs. Cho went 3-6 in the game with four RBIs and three runs scored. Cho homered in the sixth and seventh innings.
The Brantford Red Sox blew out the Burlington Twins thanks to 17 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Brantford Red Sox scored six runs in the sixth on a single by Steve Lewis, a three-run error, a solo home run by Josh McCurdy, a solo home run by Cho, and a groundout by Terrell Alliman.
Mike Meyers struck out seven hitters en route to the the Brantford Red Sox win. Meyers allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks over six innings.
Jordell Farquharson (0-1) took the loss for the Burlington Twins. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked four and struck out one.
