Down three runs in the ninth, the Somerset Patriots (42-43) recovered thanks to Jake Fox's single in the ninth, and pulled out a 6-5 win over the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (38-45) on Friday at TD Bank Ballpark.

With the Somerset Patriots trailing by one, Fox came to the plate and singled, plating Jonny Tucker.

Fox was solid at the plate for the Somerset Patriots. Fox went 3-5 and drove in one. He singled in the first, sixth, and ninth innings.

Justin Cassel allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Nick Green was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Somerset Patriots batters and allowing two runs.

Chase Wright improved to 4-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Somerset Patriots. He allowed one run over one inning. Wright struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.

Jim Ed Warden was charged with his sixth loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
