The Keene Swamp Bats top the Vermont Mountaineers in back-and-forth affair, 9-4

The Keene Swamp Bats (28-13) and the Vermont Mountaineers (18-22) passed the lead back and forth five times on Wednesday at Alumni Field, Keene NH, but in the end the Keene Swamp Bats pulled out a 9-4 win in seven innings over the Vermont Mountaineers.

Mike Papi did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Keene Swamp Bats, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning and singled in the sixth innings.

Michael White racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Vermont Mountaineers. He singled in the second and fourth innings and homered in the sixth inning.

Joshua Ingham improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Keene Swamp Bats. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Walker Stadler ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
