Luis Noel hopes every outing could go as well as Thursday, as Noel threw eight scoreless innings to carry the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings (34-25) to a 6-2 victory over the McAllen Thunder (21-39) at Harlingen Field.

Nick Lenzendorf recorded his second win of the year for the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings. Lenzendorf struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Demetrius Banks couldn't get it done on the mound for the McAllen Thunder, taking a loss. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
