Both the Fort Worth Cats (32-23) and the San Angelo Colts (26-30) put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the Fort Worth Cats that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-1 win at LaGrave Field.

CJ Beatty did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Fort Worth Cats, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.

The Fort Worth Cats relied on Casey Russell to eat up innings en route to the win. Russell allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out three over six innings of work.

Jose Sanchez (1-3) took the loss for the San Angelo Colts. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
