The Rochester Honkers (20-28) took the last of five lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the Mankato MoonDogs (35-13), securing a 3-2 victory on Tuesday at Franklin Rogers Park.
Justin Parr racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Rochester Honkers. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and homered in the eighth innings.
Dylan Nelson struck out eight hitters en route to the the Rochester Honkers win. Nelson allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk over seven innings.
Derek Howell ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
