The Washington Wild Things (19-32) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the Traverse City Beach Bums (35-17) on Sunday.

The Traverse City Beach Bums took the lead in the eleventh inning on a solo home run by Chase Burch.

The Washington Wild Things couldn't get anything going so long as Nick Capito was on the hill. The Washington Wild Things managed just two hits off of the the Traverse City Beach Bums' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his 4 2/3 innings of work.

Nick Cicio ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
