The National (1-0) pounded the American (0-1) on Wednesday 9-3 at Shirley Povich Field.

The National scored four runs in the sixth on a hit by pitch, a sacrifice fly by Patrick Blair, an error, an RBI single by Hunter Renfroe, a fielder's choice, and a single by Chris Bzozowski.
