Middleton gives the Bethesda Big Train late push to beat the Vienna River Dogs, 8-6

Brennan Middleton brought home the go-ahead run to give the Bethesda Big Train (25-16) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Bethesda Big Train hung on to beat the Vienna River Dogs (23-18) 8-6 on Saturday.

With the Bethesda Big Train trailing by one in the sixth inning, Middleton came to the plate and, plating Hunter Renfroe and Adam Barry.

Middleton racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Bethesda Big Train. He singled in the fifth inning.

Michael Miedvianowski racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Bethesda Big Train. He homered in the fifth inning and doubled in the sixth innings.

The Vienna River Dogs had no answer for Will Resnick, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Vienna River Dogs managed just one hit off of the the Bethesda Big Train's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Luke Willis racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Vienna River Dogs. He homered in the sixth inning.

Derrick Sylve recorded his first win of the year for the Bethesda Big Train. He allowed two runs over two innings. Sylve struck out two, walked two and gave up one hit.

Connor Bach was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked two and struck out eight.
