The Mystic Schooners (6-28) were unable to fight back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Sanford Mainers (12-19), and the Mystic Schooners lost 4-2 to the Sanford Mainers after falling behind by four runs in the fourth inning.

The Mystic Schooners scored two runs in the sixth on a two-run home run by Blaise Lezynski. Unfortunately, the Mystic Schooners weren't able to take the lead back.

The Sanford Mainers got the win thanks in large part to John Gorman's dominant, eight-strikeout performance. The Sanford Mainers' pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.

Lezynski racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Mystic Schooners. He homered in the sixth inning.

Jeff Stoddard (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
