The Ottawa Fat Cats (15-16) continued to pile up the runs on Saturday, scoring five runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 14-3 landslide win over the Kitchener Panthers (14-17) at Jack Couch Park.
The Ottawa Fat Cats scored five runs in the ninth on an RBI single by Pat Gagnon, an RBI single by LaDale Hayes, a three-run error, and a double by Jason Coker.
Matt McGovern was hot from the plate for the Ottawa Fat Cats. McGovern went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fifth and ninth innings.
James Amelotte struck out 10, paving the way for a the Ottawa Fat Cats win. Amelotte allowed three earned runs, six hits and two walks over nine innings.
