The Ottawa Fat Cats beat up on the Kitchener Panthers, 14-3

The Ottawa Fat Cats (15-16) continued to pile up the runs on Saturday, scoring five runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 14-3 landslide win over the Kitchener Panthers (14-17) at Jack Couch Park.

The Ottawa Fat Cats scored five runs in the ninth on an RBI single by Pat Gagnon, an RBI single by LaDale Hayes, a three-run error, and a double by Jason Coker.

Matt McGovern was hot from the plate for the Ottawa Fat Cats. McGovern went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fifth and ninth innings.

James Amelotte struck out 10, paving the way for a the Ottawa Fat Cats win. Amelotte allowed three earned runs, six hits and two walks over nine innings.

Rick Murray racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Kitchener Panthers. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

David Huscko was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked two and struck out two.

The Ottawa Fat Cats easily handled the Kitchener Panthers pitching as six hitters combined for 14 hits, 12 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
