Bryan Weymand brought home the go-ahead run to give the Gaza Strip Club (9-3) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Gaza Strip Club hung on to beat the Trojans (9-3) 8-4 on Monday.
Justin Santillo singled to start the sixth. He then went from first to second on a single by John Laba. Finally, Weymand came to the plate with the score tied at two in the sixth inning, and singled, scoring Santillo.Steve Darienzo racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Gaza Strip Club. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the sixth inning.
Anthony Alonzo improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Gaza Strip Club. He allowed four runs over six innings. Alonzo struck out one, walked one and gave up 11 hits.
Jake Seeley ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked none and struck out none.
