The Lily Flanagans (7-5) jumped out to an early lead on the Carlin Tappers (Rocco (4-8) and captured a 14-5 victory on Friday at Colonial Springs Park.

With 14 runs in the first three innings, the Lily Flanagans left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Matt Petry, an RBI single by Brian Kuefner, an RBI single by Randy Nathanson, and an RBI single by Kyle Saraped during the first inning and an RBI single by Evan Martin, an RBI single by Petry, an RBI single by Kuefner, and an RBI single by Saraped in the second inning helped the Lily Flanagans put some runs on the board early.

Petry racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Lily Flanagans.

Eddie Sterchi was hot from the plate for the Carlin Tappers (Rocco. Sterchi went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second, third, and seventh innings.

Even though Matthew Phillips allowed five runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered 16 hits.

The Lily Flanagans pounded the Carlin Tappers (Rocco pitching, as seven hitters combined for 21 hits, 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
