The Rockford RiverHawks outlast the Normal CornBelters in extras, 7-6

The Rockford RiverHawks (12-20) took home a marathon 7-6 victory over the Normal CornBelters (12-19) on Friday at The Corn Crib.

With the score tied at six in the twelfth inning, Rudy Wilson came to the plate and hit into a fielder's choice, bringing home Michael Thomas.

Wilson pushed the Rockford RiverHawks ahead, in the twelfth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out.

Javier Herrera racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Rockford RiverHawks. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the third, fourth, and eighth innings.

Mike Lee handled the Normal CornBelters' lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Lee allowed one earned run on two hits and two walks over six innings.

Theron Minium recorded his first win of the year for the Rockford RiverHawks. Minium struck out three, walked one and gave up no hits.

Marshall Schuler (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
