A six-run eighth inning sealed an 11-5 win for the Giants AA (13-9) over the Dodgers AA (12-9) on Sunday at Optimist #4.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the eighth, with seven lead changes.

Justin Johnston did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Giants AA, reaching base four times. He scored three runs and had two RBIs. He doubled in the second inning.

The Dodgers AA were led by a flawless day at the dish by Richard Marin, who went 3-3 against the Giants AA's pitching. He singled in the first and seventh innings.

Connor Veillet got the win, running his season record to 4-0. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out seven, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Marin (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked seven, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
