Matt Doyle kept the Torrington Titans (10-10) off the board during his six innings of work and the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (8-9) beat the Torrington Titans, 7-0.

Doyle struck out three and allowed two walks and eight hits.

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks blew out the Torrington Titans thanks to eight hits, including zero extra base hits. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks scored three runs in the sixth on an error, an RBI single by Eric Jensen, and a sacrifice fly by Apolinar De La Cruz.

Eric Brenk racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Derek Richards was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
