Markus Fergusson hopes every outing could go as well as Tuesday, as Fergusson tossed a shutout to carry the Edmonton Prospects (3-9) to a 4-0 victory over the Yorkton Cardinals (5-8) at Jubilee Park in seven innings.
The Yorkton Cardinals couldn't get anything going so long as Fergusson was on the hill. The Yorkton Cardinals managed just one hit off of the the Edmonton Prospects' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out nine during his seven innings of work.
It was a good day at the plate for the Edmonton Prospects' Chase Kuehi. Kuehi went 3-4 and scored three runs. He singled in the second, fourth, and seventh innings.
Dylan Tye (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
