Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Tuesday as the colt 45s (7-4) outscored the Legion of Doom (6-5) 19-11 in seven innings.
The teams totaled 40 hits in the game.
Seventeen runs in the first three innings helped the colt 45s blow out the Legion of Doom. A sacrifice fly by Joe Montelione, a two-run double by Mike Mortilla, an RBI double by Adam Sznitken, and an RBI single by Sr. Tom Fabian in the first inning and , a two-run double by Joe Rodriguez, an RBI single by Montelione, a two-run double by Sznitken, and a two-run single by Rob Downes during the second inning fueled the colt 45s' offense early.
Sznitken racked up three RBIs on three hits for the colt 45s.
Pete Bratisax put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Legion of Doom. He tripled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and doubled in the fifth inning.
The colt 45s hammered the Legion of Doom pitching as eight hitters had a field day, combining for 16 hits, 14 RBIs and 17 runs scored.
