A walk-off two-run blast from Salvador Paniagua brought home the winning run for the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings (35-28) in a 5-3 victory over the Fort Worth Cats in 11 innings at Harlingen Field on Monday.
Paniagua racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings. He singled in the first inning and homered in the eleventh inning.
Nick Lenzendorf got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered one hit.
Brandon Wilkerson was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
