Jon Dziomba had two extra base hits, helping the Fort Worth Cats (36-26) to a 3-1 victory over the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings (34-28) on Sunday at Harlingen Field.

Trevor Harden picked up the win for the Fort Worth Cats. Harden allowed one earned run, eight hits and two walks while striking out one over eight innings of work.

Salvador Paniagua had a hot bat for the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings. Paniagua went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Celson Polanco was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just 8 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out seven, and allowed three runs.
