Both the Atwater Aviators (16-10) and the Auburn Wildcats (19-8) put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Atwater Aviators that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 1-0 win.

The fact that the Atwater Aviators grouped all of their runs into the second inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

The Auburn Wildcats had no answer for Tyler Elrod, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Elrod held the Auburn Wildcats hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Jason Renner improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Atwater Aviators. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Jacob Cook ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed one run.
