Brad Schnelle kept the Mystic Schooners (2-15) off the board during his six innings of work and the Vermont Mountaineers (9-9) beat the Mystic Schooners, 3-0.

Schnelle struck out four and allowed one walk and four hits.

Aaron Barbosa reached base three times. He singled in the seventh and ninth innings.

Rick Mangione ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked seven, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
