An ace performance by Chris Daniels lifted the Sacramento Scorch (3-7) to an 11-2 win over the Redding Colt .45s on Friday at Tiger Field.

Daniels' 11 strikeouts helped the Sacramento Scorch to the victory. Daniels allowed one earned run, two hits and three walks over eight innings.

Jake Bews rocked the Redding Colt .45s with two home runs. Bews went 3-4 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Bews homered in the first and second innings.

Everything was working at the plate for the the Sacramento Scorch in the eighth. In the inning the Sacramento Scorch scored six runs.

Wunderlich ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
