The San Francisco Seagulls (14-9) jumped out to an early lead on the Pro Player Baseball and captured a 16-6 victory on Sunday at Fairmont Field.
The game was decided quickly as the San Francisco Seagulls exerted their will early with seven runs in the first three innings.
An RBI single by Roger Fonseca, an RBI single by Casey Levy-Tulloch, an RBI single by Dominic Ferrando, and a groundout by Nikolas Fangonilo in the first inning and a two-run double by Fonseca and a fielder's choice during the second inning helped the San Francisco Seagulls put some runs on the board early.Levy-Tulloch racked up seven RBIs on three hits for the San Francisco Seagulls.
Jordan Lazor looked sharp on the mound. Lazor held the Pro Player Baseball hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.
Eric Lara got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out eight, walked three and surrendered three hits.
Kory Groves ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed 13 runs in six innings, walked four and struck out three.
