An awesome effort by Jordan Rawlyk spurred the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (19-25) to a 1-0 win in seven innings over the Moose Jaw Miller Express on Friday at Ross Wells Park.
The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets' Rawlyk kept the Moose Jaw Miller Express (20-24) off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up eight.
John Skrbec helped the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets take the lead for good in the sixth inning. After Tim Colwell singled, Skrbec doubled, plating Colwell.
Marshall Dean couldn't get it done on the mound for the Moose Jaw Miller Express, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed one run.
