Georgetown downs Trenton in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Ryan Takamatsu gave the Georgetown Raiders a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Trenton Golden Hawks when he scored 11:15 into the extra period.

With the win, Georgetown evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

The Raiders overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Georgetown was down 2-0 after a goal by Trenton's Adam Clements at 15:55 in the second period. The Raiders tied things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Andrew Court at 14:35 in the third period.

Georgetown's penalty kill excelled, as the Raiders gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

Georgetown stifled the Golden Hawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Raiders forced Trenton goalie Daniel Urbani to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots.

Georgetown also got a goal from Zack Dybowski as well. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Matthew Cairns, who had two and Jordan Crocker, Bailey Molella, and Daniel Hardie, who contributed one each.

The Golden Hawks' offense rang up 41 shots on Georgetown's net.

Mitch Emerson also scored for Trenton. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Ethan Skinner, Blayne Oliver, Hunter Fargey, and Curtis Harvey, who each chipped in one.

Andrew Masters rejected 39 shots on goal for the Raiders. Georgetown incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Daniel Urbani made 42 saves for Trenton on 45 shots. The Golden Hawks ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and one major. Trenton ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jordan DaSilva was ejected from the game.
