Dan Tudin lifted Rittner Buam to a 5-2 victory with a hat trick against SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan.

Tudin's first goal came 10:40 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:58 into the first and at 2:42 into the third.

The win gave Rittner Buam a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Rittner Buam put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan to score on any of its four power plays.

Rittner Buam also got points from David Ceresa, who also registered one goal and one assist and Mark Van Guilder, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for Rittner Buam were Brendan Cook, who had two and Julian Kostner, Markus Spinell, and Christian Borgatello, who each chipped in one.

SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan was helped by Taylor Stefishen, who tallied one goal. Stefishen scored 17:08 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Rittner Buam. Adam Hughesman assisted on the tally. Hannes Stofner also scored for SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan. More assists for SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan came via Philipp Pircher and Patrick Mair, who contributed one each.
