Trenton hangs on, beats Wellington 1-0

Lucas Brown scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and the Trenton Golden Hawks held off the challenges of the Wellington Dukes in a tough 1-0 win.

Brown provided Trenton with the game-winning tally when he scored 11:10 into the first period. Liam Morgan assisted on the tally.

The win by the Golden Hawks clinched the best of seven series at 4-1.

Trenton was led by Brown, who racked up one goal.

The Golden Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Wellington power plays.

Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Kevin Lavoie, who had one.

Wellington stifled Trenton's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Daniel Urbani rejected 23 shots on goal for the Golden Hawks. Trenton incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Dukes' Sam Tanguay stopped 20 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Wellington incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
