Kingston blows out Cobourg, 6-3

After the loss made the series score 0-3 in the best of seven series, Cobourg faces elimination next time out.

Kingston got the win with help from a great game by Connor Bebb, who had two goals and one assist. Bebb scored the first of his two goals at 6:05 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Kingston. The goal was assisted by Reed Kekewich and Josh Hardiman. Bebb's next tally made the score 4-1 Kingston in the second period.

Voyageurs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Cougars to score on any of their four power plays.Kingston kept Cobourg's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyler Lewis made 23 saves on 42 shots.

Kingston also got points from Jacob Hanlon, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Kingston included Jakob Brahaney, Zachary Emelifeonwu, and Connor Cobbold, who scored one each. More assists for Kingston came via Ian Harris, who had two and Colin Tonge, Brandon Nadeau, and Anthony Rinaldi, who contributed one apiece.

Cougars put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Voyageurs to score on any of their seven power plays.Cobourg kept Kingston's goalie busy throughout the game, and David Richer made 31 saves on 34 shots.

Cougars were helped by Kallen McFarland, who racked up one goal.McFarland scored in the second period to make the score 3-1 Kingston. Sam Dunn and Austin Kozluk registered the assists on the goal.Cobourg additionally got points from Matt Carroll, who also registered one goal and one assist and Brenden Locke, who also registered one goal and one assist. McFarland also scored for Cobourg. In addition, Cobourg received assists from Mac Lowry, Kozluk, Dunn, and Ryan Casselman, who each chipped in one.

Voyageurs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Cobourg incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
