Oakville rips St. Michaels, 6-1

The win by Oakville clinched the best of seven series at two-four

St. Michaels were stymied by Blades netminder Brendan McGlynn, who stopped 27 shots during the victory.

Oakville were sparked by Christian Rajic, who registered one goal. Rajic scored in the first period to make the score 1-0 Oakville. The score was assisted by Josh Kosack and Daniel Jelic.

Blades kept Buzzers's goalie busy throughout the game, and Mark Manolescu made 32 saves on 39 shots.

Oakville also had goals scored by Drew Worrad, Peyton Reeves, and Michael Mannara, who each put in one and Bryce Misley, who had two. In addition, Oakville received assists from Eric Holland, Jackson Bales, Kosack, Jelic, Ryan Foss, Matthew Kellenberger, Evan Brown, Tyler Rollo, and Brayden Sampson, who each chipped in one.

St. Michaels put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Oakville to score on any of their three power plays.

Buzzers were led by Thomas Beretta, who scored the team's only goal. Beretta scored on the power play in the second period to make the score 2-1 Oakville. The goal was assisted by Cameron Searles and Mark Paolini.

Blades incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. St. Michaels incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. For Buzzers, Anthony Paveglio was ejected from the game.
