Malvern JV penalty kill dominates in 4-0 defeat of Downingtown East JV Blue

Downingtown East JV Blue failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Malvern JV shook off a number of penalties to win, 4-0.

Malvern JV was led by Jack Hamilton, who had one goal. Hamilton scored on the power play 2:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Malvern JV. Malvern JV had gotten the advantage when Downingtown East JV Blue's Dustin Fisher was sent off for interference.

Malvern JV excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Malvern JV was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 16 penalty minutes.

Malvern JV also got points from Charlie Andress, who also registered one goal and one assist and James Bell, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points.
