SJ Prep JV Red relied on the scoring touch of Michael Matkovic, who netted two goals, to beat OHara JV, 5-2.

SJ Prep JV Red stifled OHara JV's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. SJ Prep JV Red forced OHara JV goalie Angelo Losardo to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Alexander Krause also scored for SJ Prep JV Red. In addition, SJ Prep JV Red received assists from Thomas Scirrotto, Richard Stahl, Jason Pakech, Jason Miles, and Jay Billups III, who each chipped in one.

OHara JV did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 12 saves.

OHara JV was helped by Michael Roney, who tallied one goal. Roney scored short handed 9:45 into the first period to make the score 1-1. OHara JV found itself down a man on Cody Sharpe's holding. Jacob Pohlig assisted on the tally. OHara JV also got a goal from Zac Deemer as well. Other players who recorded assists for OHara JV were John Ahearn, who had one.

SJ Prep JV Red's starting goalie, John Kromchad Jr, made five saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Troy Stefano, who stopped seven shots. SJ Prep JV Red incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Angelo Losardo made 32 saves for OHara JV on 37 shots. OHara JV incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
