AB Carroll JV survives SJ Prep JV Red comeback, wins 4-2

SJ Prep JV Red tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but AB Carroll JV held on for a 4-2 victory.

AB Carroll JV made the score 4-1 on a goal by Jason Zambella at 12:44 in the third period, and SJ Prep JV Red got as close as 4-2 when Daniel Stahl scored 12:44 into the third period.

AB Carroll JV pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes.

AB Carroll JV excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.

AB Carroll JV was helped by Ian Myers, who had one goal. Myers scored 6:53 into the third period to make the score 3-1 AB Carroll JV. AB Carroll JV also got points from Zambella, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Robert Batten, who also registered one goal and one assist. AB Carroll JV also got a goal from Alexander Volpe as well. In addition, AB Carroll JV received assists from Trip Shoemaker, who had one and Shane Brady, who had two.

SJ Prep JV Red was held below its usual level of production. SJ Prep JV Red averages 5.3 goals per game.

SJ Prep JV Red was helped by David Sakowski, who grabbed one goal. Sakowski scored 7:04 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Michael Sweeney picked up the assist. More assists for SJ Prep JV Red came via Thomas Scirrotto, who had one.

Chris Waldmann made 27 saves for AB Carroll JV on 29 shots. AB Carroll JV registered one goal on six power play opportunities.
