Salesianum JV beats OHara JV 7-2 as Gallo gets hat trick

OHara JV could not stop Salesianum JV's tyler Gallo, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-2 win.

Gallo's first goal came 4:00 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:54 into the second and at 11:19 into the second.

Salesianum JV kept OHara JV's goalie busy throughout the game, and Angelo Losardo made 30 saves on 37 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Salesianum JV additionally got points from Dylan Johnson, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Anthony Leo, who also registered one goal and one assist. Salesianum JV also had goals scored by Timothy Flynn and Liam Magargal, who scored one goal each. In addition, Salesianum JV received assists from Matt Young, who had one and Sean Cunningham and Matt Crane, who contributed two each.

OHara JV's offense was handcuffed by Salesianum JV's defensive play, and OHara JV managed only 13 shots on goal during the game.

OHara JV was led by Tim Truax, who had one goal. Truax scored on the power play 8:14 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Salesianum JV. A tripping penalty on Johnson had put OHara JV on the power play. Michael Roney picked up the assist. Phil Melito also scored for OHara JV. More assists for OHara JV came via Liam Rodee, who had one.

Salesianum JV's Christian Sharp stopped 11 shots out of the 13 that he faced. Salesianum JV incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors and had no power play opportunities. OHara JV ended with no penalties and went 1-for-5 on the power play.
