Miller's big game bests PV-VFMA in 8-3 Ridley JV win

Ridley JV's Eric Miller had a big offensive game, scoring five goals and contributing one assist in his team's 8-3 win over PV-VFMA.

Miller's first goal came 2:11 into the second period. He then added goals at 2:52 into the second, at 4:07 into the second, at 10:26 into the second, and at 4:36 into the third.

Ridley JV stifled PV-VFMA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Ridley JV outdid its season average for goals scored. Ridley JV averages 3.3 goals per game.

Ridley JV also got points from Justin Shinkle, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Ridley JV also had goals scored by Colin VanAtta and Nick Garafolo, who each put in one. More assists for Ridley JV came via Reece Borak, who had two and Tyler Davies and Anthony Smythe, who contributed one each.

Ridley JV's defense shut down PV-VFMA's forwards for much of the game, and PV-VFMA got off only 14 shots during the contest.

PV-VFMA was led by Adam Lewis, who registered two goals. Lewis scored the first of his two goals at 26 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Ridley JV. Cabel Graham picked up the assist. Lewis' next tally made the score 2-2 with 19:00 left in the second period. PV-VFMA also got a goal from Elias Jesus as well.

Colin Powell made 11 saves for Ridley JV on 14 shots. Ridley JV incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Grant Smith rejected 15 shots on goal for PV-VFMA. PV-VFMA incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
