OJR JV takes care of PV-VFMA early, wins 10-0

OJR JV opened up a five-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 10-0 win over PV-VFMA.

Austin Mourar had six goals and one assist to lead OJR JV. Mourar's first goal came 1:59 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:09 into the first, at 25 seconds into the second, at 5:18 into the third, at 12:17 into the third, and at 14:40 into the third.

OJR JV forced PV-VFMA goalie Oliver Duffey to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots. OJR JV's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, OJR JV averages 6.0 goals per contest. OJR JV's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in six goals.

OJR JV also got points from Ethan Wiley, who also racked up two goals and one assist. OJR JV also had goals scored by Conner Patania and Jacob Vitullo, who scored one goal each. In addition, OJR JV received assists from James Donnelly, Kaleb Fisher, and Bailey Watson, who contributed one each and Gordie Delano and Andrew Gibson, who each chipped in two.

PV-VFMA did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting six shots on net to force six saves.

Zach Shepker recorded six saves for OJR JV. OJR JV incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Duffey rejected 35 shots on goal for PV-VFMA. PV-VFMA totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. For PV-VFMA, Jacob Gilinger was ejected from the game.
