OJR JV holds on for 7-5 win against Downingtown East JV_2

Downingtown East JV_2 tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but OJR JV would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 7-5.

OJR JV made the score 7-4 on a goal by Conner Patania at 10:27 in the third period, and Downingtown East JV_2 got as close as 7-5 when Daniel Cook scored 10:59 into the third period.

Vitullo was all over the ice for OJR JV, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Vitullo scored the first of his two goals at 1:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 OJR JV. Vitullo's next tally made the score 5-4 OJR JV with 16:20 left in the third period. Keegan picked up the assist.

OJR JV could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

OJR JV also got points from Keegan, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Ethan Wiley, who also had two goals and one assist. OJR JV also got a goal from Delano as well. Other players who recorded assists for OJR JV were Tony Sheay, who had two.

Downingtown East JV_2 was led by Kostas Kourahanis, who finished with two goals and one assist. Kourahanis scored the first of his two goals at 13:45 into the first period to make the score 2-1 OJR JV. Ben Diehl provided the assist. Kourahanis' next tally made the score 4-4 with 16:33 left in the third period. Cody Beam also scored for Downingtown East JV_2. More assists for Downingtown East JV_2 came via Sean Marcus and Ethan Clay, who each chipped in one.

OJR JV's starting goalie, Hunt Max, made seven saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Zach Shepker, who stopped 10 shots. OJR JV registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Emma Shannon made 20 saves for Downingtown East JV_2 on 27 shots. Downingtown East JV_2 incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
