Penncrest JV had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-3 win over Downingtown East JV two.

Penncrest JV got the win thanks to a great game by JT Zawisza, who had two goals and one assist. Zawisza scored the first of his two goals at 36 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Penncrest JV. Jack Fletcher picked up the assist. Zawisza's next tally made the score 3-1 Penncrest JV with 18:08 left in the second period.

Penncrest JV forced Downingtown East JV two's goaltenders to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots and forcing 25 saves. Christina Bober made 10 stops and Emma Shannon made 15.

Penncrest JV also got points from Fletcher, who also had two goals and one assist. Penncrest JV also got a goal from Matthew Herzog as well. More assists for Penncrest JV came via Sean Clinton and Declan Casey, who each chipped in one.

Penncrest JV's defense shut down Downingtown East JV two's forwards for much of the game, and Downingtown East JV two got off only 13 shots during the contest.

Downingtown East JV two was helped by Cody Beam, who registered one goal. Beam scored on the power play 7:59 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Penncrest JV. Downingtown East JV two had taken the advantage when Penncrest JV's Casey got sent off for interference. Sean Marcus provided the assist. Downingtown East JV two additionally got points from Damian Fabrizio, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Daniel Cook also scored for Downingtown East JV two. In addition, Downingtown East JV two received assists from Kostas Kourahanis and Matt Valitski, who contributed one each.

Justin Rossi made 10 saves for Penncrest JV on 13 shots. Penncrest JV incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Downingtown East JV two incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
