Great Valley JV holds on for 6-4 win against Boyertown JV

Boyertown JV tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but Great Valley JV would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 6-4.

Great Valley JV made the score 6-3 on a goal by Sam Edwards at 8:35 in the third period, and Boyertown JV got as close as 6-4 when Kelsey Showers scored 8:59 into the third period.

Mitchell Bates and Owen Lawless provided the spark for Great Valley JV, combining for three goals and three assists. Bates had two goals and one assist and Lawless also notched one goal and two assists.

Great Valley JV also got points from Lawless, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Cory Conway also scored for Great Valley JV. More assists for Great Valley JV came via Daniel Kelly and Joshua Porton, who contributed one each.

Boyertown JV put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Great Valley JV to score on any of its four power plays.

Boyertown JV was led by Cole Novak, who tallied two goals and one assist. Novak scored the first of his two goals at 8:36 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Novak's next tally made the score 4-2 Great Valley JV with 11:18 left in the second period. Boyertown JV also got a goal from Sean Quinn as well. In addition, Boyertown JV received assists from Hunter Zeall and James Gassner, who each chipped in one.

Daniel Dougherty recorded 25 saves for Great Valley JV. Great Valley JV incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Alex jacobs made 11 saves for Boyertown JV on 17 shots. Boyertown JV incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
