Wooten, Tranchitella lead Avon Grove JV over Haverford JV, 8-4

Behind two goals and one assist from Mark Wooten and two goals and two assists from Louie Tranchitella, Avon Grove JV downed Haverford JV 8-4.

Wooten scored the first of his two goals at 4:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Avon Grove JV. Tranchitella assisted on the tally. Wooten's next tally made the score 3-1 Avon Grove JV with 8:41 left in the first period. Tranchitella scored the first of his two goals at 11:31 into the first period to make the score 4-1 Avon Grove JV. Wooten provided the assist. Tranchitella's next tally made the score 7-4 Avon Grove JV with 9:15 left in the third period. Alex Faller picked up the assist.

Avon Grove JV's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Avon Grove JV finished with 14 penalty minutes. Avon Grove JV got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Avon Grove JV additionally got points from Faller, who also had two goals and one assist, Blane Vetland, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Tranchitella, who also registered two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Haverford JV also got points from Liney, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Haverford JV also got a goal from Daniel Jr Mariani as well. In addition, Haverford JV received assists from Michael Dell, who had one.

Matt Miller made seven saves before being replaced by Cameron Faller, who took the win and made nine saves. Avon Grove JV registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Jordan Matsinger recorded seven saves for Haverford JV. Haverford JV incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
